About the award-winning quilt designer, teacher, and author Hanne (Mama) Lohde:
Hanne (Mama) Lohde’s love for stitching started as a five-year old little girl sitting on the floor of her mom’s sewing room, hand sewing a dress for her doll while her mom made a summer dress for her. Soon she was creating and making a large part of her own clothes, and even started to sell knitwear in college. Since then, stitching, handwork, creating her own designs and telling stories through her arts has become a source of joy and relaxation. When COVID-19 hit us all and forced us to stay at home in 2020, she finally had the time and peace to establish her own first wool story quilt design, and the company Mama Lohde was born. Hanne (Mama) Lohde lives with her family in Southern California.
Introduction to wool applique and embroidery: making your choice of a Bunny or Christmas Gnome (Nisse). Choose between Forest Nisse, Fox Nisse, Billy the Bunny, or Bree the Bunny.

You will learn basic embroidery techniques and some advanced stitches depending on the chosen project. You will learn 4 to 12 different stitches depending on your choice of project including: Lazy Daisy Stitch, Back Stitch, Seed Stitch, Chain Stitch, Oyster Stitch, Pistil Stitch, Feather Stitch, Closed Fly Stitch, Needle Woven Bar Stitch, Button Hole Stitch, Bullion Knot Stitch, Danish Knot Stitch or Stem Stitch.
